MATIS REPORTING

Compliance

What is compliance?

The waste and recycling sector is a highly regulated market. Compliance means that the applicable rules are known and respected at all times.

VM Logistics considers it a core value to always act correctly and with respect for the applicable rules. We expect from our partners that this concept is always the starting point for every flow of goods.

OVAM registration

VM Logistics is registered as a waste processor within the Public Flemish Waste Company (OVAM). Each individual site is permitted to store or process a certain amount of waste.

VLAREMA Waste reporting

The Flemish regulations regarding the sustainable management of material cycles and waste (VLAREMA) stipulate that an Annex VII document must be present for all cross-border transports of waste, where no prior approval is required.

When accepting each outgoing or incoming transport, VM Logistics will enter the information from the Annex VII documents, or, if applicable, the prior approval, in a separate Waste Reporting document. This complies with the reporting obligation regarding cross-border transport.

MATIS reporting

Since 2021, OVAM has set up a new, additional reporting system to map the recycling chain of certain goods.

The Materials Information System (MATIS) is supplemented by VM Logistics on a monthly basis with the necessary information, so that your waste flows are always registered correctly during the period that they are in storage or treated.
